The STAR Assessment will be given to all 1st through 5th grade students three times a year. Kindergarten and Preschool will take the STAR assessment twice a year. The assessment will take no more than 15-25 minutes per content area (Reading and Math).
The assessment is an adaptive assessment which means that it gets more challenging when students get multiple answers in a row correct and the questions get easier when students get multiple answers wrong.
This data will be available for parents to review with teachers at conferences.
